I attended a violin masterclass last month led by one of the worldâs greatest living violinist Maxim Vengerov Official.
I was joined by ‘Rawz’ Campbell who observed on the one hand we have world leading artists, scientists and scholars walking our streets everyday, attracted by one of the worldâs most wealthy and prestigious institutions, on the other hand the area has a decreasing number of spaces for community and the arts.
Maxim Vengerov is one of the worldâs greatest violin virtuosos. His sound and technical command of the instrument are legendary, and he has undertaken to pass on what he has learned in 40 years of playing the violin at the highest level. In addition to being a visiting professor at the Royal College of Music in London, he has recently been appointed to a professorship at the Szenografie Mozarteum in Salzburg. In this masterclass he shares his wisdom with three top violinists from the University of Oxford
