Born and raised in Britain, Oxford educated violinist and interdisciplinary artist Natalie V (NV) has been acclaimed for her expressive musicianship and disruptive approach to her craft.
Being trained predominately by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music has been the driving force behind her expressive musicianship.
Classically trained in advanced level Music Performance her career highlights includes orchestral work with Academy of Music London (partnered with the Royal College of Music), Berkshire Maestros formerly Berkshire Young Musicians Trust and as a visiting guest with Radcliffe Orchestra.
Her other pursuits has been featured in renowned venues from Holywell Music Room,Oxford University, Islington’s Union Chapel (previously showcasing artists Amy Winehouse, Emeli Sande, Bjork, Adele, Noel Gallagher, U2 et al) as well as performing with contemporary ensembles at London Marathon, O2 Academy Oxford, Jericho Tavern, Wheatsheaf, Bingo Hall/Regal Oxford, and other private events, nightclubs and art galleries in the country.
Highlights of previous festival seasons include appearances as lead violinist at Out to Graze Festival, Truck Festival with electroacoustic outfit Message to Bears, poetry slams at Jazz Cafe for Camden Crawl, including being interviewed for BBC Introducing by Tim Bearder for BBC Radio Oxford.
Her collaborations with peers at Brookes’ Richard Hamilton Building have inspired her to be a session vocalist at popular grassroots venue The Cellar, which has famously played host to renowned Oxford based bands Supergrass, Glass Animals, The Foals, Stornoway and Radiohead.
One off London based projects at Shepard Bush Empire have featured in a Channel 4 documentary presented by UK hiphop artist Akala.
Natalie’s unique multicultural background and avid metropolitan lifestyle ties her to multiple diverse communities. With a strong focus on enriching her knowledge and experiences, she has participated in educational revision programmes as an Activities Coordinator and Revision Support Tutor. She has committed to engage in outreach programmes in her local community, with whom she works closely to promote expression through the arts, alongside highlighting the importance of English, Science and Maths curriculum standards at a reputable tuition centre for KS2 and KS3 age groups.
She is an Oxford Brookes alumni previously enrolling onto a combined Bachelor of Arts course, achieving a double degree in Humanities.
Natalie began to train in understanding classical music theory, score reading and playing the violin as an extracurricular activity which in turn led to being accepted to an established local music academy which partnered with the Royal College of Music and the Royal Albert Hall at the time. Her discipline as a classically trained musicain progressed to being examined in Music Performance through ABRSM as well as continuing to study Music Literacy, History and Performance as an undergraduate in Music and Performing Arts.
She currently performs on a late 19th century German violin restored by luthiers at Bridgewood and Neitzert, Stoke Newington & Oxford Violins.

She continues to remain committed to her own professional and skillset development in the classical music sphere, contemporary electroacoustic scene and beyond. She has recently completed a business course to attain a qualification in Human Resources Management, which enables her to perform her role in her day-to-day corporate gig more efficiently. Concurrently to her solo violin practice, Natalie is conversant and active in other artistic disciplines including fashion, film, photography visual art, literature and digital content production.
