I was in Waterloo for a concert. Then left for Oxford the Oxford tube straight away to get home. I was 2mins away from getting my bus. There was literally loads of bystanders and pedestrians aound. I was with a friend and the mugger must’ve followed me when I walked to the bus stop unaccompanied…
PHONE THEFT DESTROYS LIVES!
Firstly this is not a thirst trap. Here are the only photos of, or taken with, my missing smartphone
- To the person who decided to mug me on Friday (1 Nov), I’m sure I was targeted as I was momentarily walking unaccompanied on a busy street. Well done, slow clap.
- A masked ‘Deliveroo Rider’ with a branded backpack, cycled up behind me & snatched my unlocked phone. They had access to EVERYTHING. I sprinted after them, but of course they raced off
- Track and Trace Apps are the best thing to be invented. I located the mugger, blocked my phone remotely & filed a report. It can’t be reused, sold or re-registered
- RIP to my (now unusable) smartphone. There was so much potential, but our time together sadly was extremely short-lived.
- I have lost all the images & videos from an incredible recital, taken less than an hour prior at Southbank Centre hosting Yuja Wang & @vikingurolafsson
The festive season & Christmas is fast approaching A magical and wholesome time of year for shoppers, tourists & party-goers can turn ugly in an instant.
